Rewards are products and coupons which can be handed out to Splio contacts as incentives or purchased by them in exchange for NQ-points.
The two types of rewards are items and coupons. Items refer to specific products, which can be awarded to clients. Coupons are unique virtual codes which can be sent to them (see here to learn more).
You can use Loyalty rules to attribute rewards to loyalty program members.
Datahub allows you to organize import, earning, and burning of rewards.
Creating a reward
To create a reward, use the "+New reward" button in LOYALTY > Rewards.
Enter the following required data into "General settings":
- Name of the reward,
- External ID (it links your rewards to your other applications),
- Price in the default currency of your universe, and
- Cost in non-qualifying (NQ) points.
The description and image URL are optional, but it can be used to illustrate the rewards.
The "Validity parameters" are required but they are always pre-filled with the default values. The holding interval, or the time between selecting a reward and being able to use it, is 0 days. The validity period, or how long a reward remains available, is by default 1 year.
You also need to select the type of the reward (coupon or item). Select or create a category for coupons. For items, enter the number you have (stock, 0 is unlimited).
To finish, click the "Create" button.
Emily Jones has 300 coupons she needs to set up as rewards for an upcoming Monthly Surprise operation.
She goes to LOYALTY > Rewards and clicks the "+New reward" button. She enters the name, description, and the nominal price of 5 EUR and 5 NQ-points.
She leaves the default holding period (the coupons should be available immediately) but changes the validity to 3 months.
Emily makes sure that the reward type is "coupon" and that the "Monthly Surprise" category is selected. (If a category is not in the list, click the "New category" button and enter the name manually.)
Since she has 300 coupons to upload, Emily disables the coupons auto-generation and clicks the "Create" button.
Go to LOYALTY > Rewards to see the searchable list of all rewards defined in the Splio universe. In the image below, we searched for all rewards with the word "Monthly".
Click any reward in the list to open it, or the pencil button to go straight to the "Settings" tab.
The "Overview" tab compiles information about the reward.
You can use the "Settings" tab to edit the reward. You can change all data except external ID, prices, type, and category.
If the reward is of the "coupon" type, the "Coupon" tab will be available. Enter the start and end date for when the coupons can be given out, as well as the expiration date. Select or drag-and-drop the file containing your coupons onto the "choose a file" box.
Emily filled the start, end, and expiration dates are (to make sure that no coupon is valid for 3 months). She needs to drag her coupons file to the "choose a file" box and then click "Upload!".
Assigning rewards manually
Besides the Loyalty rules, customer service can manually grant rewards to contacts.
To do so, go to DATA > Contacts then find and select the contact. Open the "Loyalty > Rewards" tab from the menu.
Splio will display the list of all rewards assigned to the contact. Use the "Grant reward" button on the right to select the reward from the list and award it to the contact.
