Through the TARGET module, you have all the necessary functions to categorize the contacts and, therefore, constitute the recipients. By adding sequences, it is possible to create relaunch campaigns targeting populations by reaction to the initial campaign: delivery status, contact reaction (opener, clicker, etc.).
This functionality helps meet the most common needs. In a more advanced way, we will see in this article how to manually create a relaunch to address a population of contacts that clicked on a particular link (such as a Call to Action).
This procedure is especially useful when you want to target contacts who have clicked on a specific link or to contact contacts who have received certain messages.
In order to achieve so, the procedure consists of:
- Create the relevant contact group.
- Create a new campaign using the new contact group created.
Creation of the contact group
To create the group of contacts, go to the list of campaigns and then:
- Click on the campaign action (message).
- Go to "Extract recipients"
- Click on "Add criteria"
To target the contacts that have received (or not) the email, go to "Filter by status", choose "Delivered" or "not delivered".
To target the contacts according to their behavior, go to "Filter by reaction" and choose the corresponding behavior: mail read, clicked, unsubscribed, etc.
To target contacts that have clicked on a specific link, go to "Filter by clicks" and select "click" on the corresponding link.
Once the criteria have been defined, press "Select" to validate the criteria.
To complete this step, go to the "File type" box:
- Choose "Save as a group"
- Click on "Download" to create the group
The group consists of contacts that meet the selection criteria chosen. To check it, go to the TARGET module and then the submenu "Groups".
Creation of the campaign
To send a message to the group created above, simply create a manual campaign as usual and choose the group in question when performing the segmentation (or add it to exclusion if necessary).
