The SMS Sender ID (which can be a name or a number and also known as "Caller ID" or "From Number") is the sender shown on the recipient's phone when received. By default, it will appear as "SMS" when sending via the Splio platform.
The SMS Sender ID must respect an alphanumeric format with some limitations, due to the international context (each country has its own restrictions and laws):
- A maximum of 11 alphanumeric characters, from the range A-Z a-z 0-9
- No special character
- No empty space
In addition, it is important to specify that the Sender ID customization is supported by the operators only if the message contains a STOP number, otherwise the customization will not work.
The list of possible names is not modifiable by the users from the application. This adaptation is nevertheless possible on request from the technical support.
