Campaigns and actions states
A campaign can go through many states. Some states may require some special attention.
Both Campaigns and Actions have a state, and the campaign will take the predominant state within its actions.
- If one of the Action is running and all others are on hold or ended, the Campaign will be in "Running" state.
- If one of the Action is on hold and one is aborted, the Campaign will be marked as "On hold".
- If all Actions have ended, the Campaign will be marked as Ended.
- And so on...
“Unfinished” campaigns are still in creation and have not been launched, but the recipients' have been extracted. When in this state, the campaign can be edited, deleted, launched or duplicated.
The campaign will stay as "Unfinished" until the it is launched, or until all recipients have been targeted (in the case of a partial targeting or asynchronous split targeting).
When a campaign is "Running", it has been launched and the actions are running (being sent or programmed to be launched soon).
The campaign's running actions cannot be edited, but they can be paused or duplicated. It is possible to add additional actions to the scenario.
If need be, the campaign can be stopped before its lifetime is over.
Once the campaign's actions have been launched and messages are being sent, actions can be paused.
Pausing an action allows you to edit it after it has started sending. You may change the design's content and subject, as well as the action's sending rate, but you cannot modify your target.
When restarting the action, the sending will resume to the remaining contacts, using the modified content (if applicable).
A stopped campaign or action will stop all ongoing sendings. The individuals that were not targeted will not be taking part of the campaign.
Aborted campaigns or actions cannot be started again.
When the "Ended" status appears, all the actions within a campaign have been sucessfully sent.
Moreover, the campaign that has been sent shows a statistics bar, allowing for a quick preview of the campaign's performances, with the following delivery status:
Number of contacts that were in the control group
Number of recipients that are still in queue
Number of Soft bounces
Number of Hard bounces
Number of recipients that were delivered successfully
Number of recipients that opened only
Number of recipients that clicked
Number of recipients that purchased
Note: On this campaign performance preview, the openers' rate counts the openers that did not click, the clickers' rate counts the clickers that did not purchase, and so on. The total of openers+clickers+buyers is equal to the total number of openers within the action's global statistics.
