When you connect to Splio for the first time, your Project Manager will already have configured most settings. However, you can change the settings if you need to.
The settings are available in the ADMIN module.
Two steps authentication
The security settings of Splio can be reinforced with SMS authentication whenever a user connects to the platform from a new device. This system is called 2FA (two-factor authentication).
Your users can setup the two-factor authentication from their profile edition page.
2FA consists in combining your usual security with a physical key. For instance, a safe could require a password and a key. For Splio, it would be your login (login + password), reinforced by a numeric code sent by SMS to your cellphone.
This method is optional but strongly recommended. The 2FA identification can be saved on a device for a 30 days period. Each new device used will be detected, and Splio will send you a new verification code.
Enabling 2FA for users
As an administrator, you can enable this feature for your users by going to ADMIN > Users. When editing a user, an option is available to enable 2FA for the user.
Configuring SPF and DKIM
ADMIN > Deliverability
Splio provides an automatic configuration for SPF, SenderID and DKIM. If you wish to configure your email authentication settings manually using your own domain parameters, feel free to submit your domain authentication information. The changes will be applied immediately.
If you don’t know what this is, you should leave the default settings to “automatic outgoing email authentication” enabled.
If you wish to learn more about email authentication and consequences on your deliverability, contact your Project Manager.
To add domains, disable the automatic automatic outgoing email authentication. You will then be able to add domains.
Click the "Add new domain" button.

Global options
Global settings allow you to modify the core settings of your account such as your universe’s name (used as default sender name), as well as the default from email address and the very important time zone, which will be used for campaigns scheduling.
Subscription form customization
Splio provides a subscription form that can be embedded within your websites or applications. The form uses a minimal layout that can be customized using your own CSS.
You can:
- Link an external CSS (cascading style sheet),
- Include a custom message,
- Choose which database fields to show on the form,
- Choose which fields are mandatory to submit the form.
Any contact that opt-ins from this form will be automatically subscribed to the chosen list, and will be eligible for triggered campaigns.
Personal options
To modify your personal account, go to ADMIN > Users and click on your username.
Change password
To change your password, go to the Tools menu and click on Change password.
Modify your profile
You can modify your name, language, phone number and email address.
If desired, you can enable 2FA for your account.

Note: language settings will not affect the universe’s language settings. The personal language setting will determine your Splio interface language (texts, menus, etc).
