Overview
The WeChat Template Message menu allows you to prepare and manage personalized messages to improve communication with your WeChat followers. These messages are built as configurable templates which can be enriched with contact data from your Splio database thanks to the integration with WeChat.
This article explains how you can make changes to existing template messages and how, by duplicating, you can create new ones.
See the How can I setup a trigger campaign? article to learn how to send your template messages.
The arrows in the illustration above point to the names of templates, defined within the WeChat platform, which provide the frame for your messages. The two templates shown are "Point change reminder" and "Membership registration notification".
Editing template messages
Editing allows you to modify the content of the message within the framework of the template. To edit a template message, go to the "edition" tab when viewing it or use a shortcut in the "..." menu.
You can change the name of the message however you cannot change The template name.
The next illustration highlights the items you can modify: text and fields, colors and links. The fields allow you to use information taken directly from the Splio database for contacts matched with WeChat accounts. Use the "Functions" button to select from the list of available fields for each item. The preview shows text in the color you selected.
Duplicating template messages
By duplicating, you can create a copy of an existing template design. The copy has exactly the same name and content as the original. This way you can preserve the original and modify the duplicate for a new purpose.
Synchronization with WeChat
WeChat template messages are automatically synchronized with your WeChat Official Account. You can find the template messages coming directly from WeChat in the "My Template" tab. If you do not have any messages running, this tab will be empty.
